Trusts - in the Context of An International Family Law Practice

This talk was delivered live during the Asia Pacific Chapter Hour on 13th September 2021, and was coordinated and moderated by Corinne Remedios who chairs the Hague Sub-Committee on Wills, Trusts and Estates. The Sub-Committee's objective is to raise awareness and share knowledge on this fascinating subject.

Speakers looked at the impact of trusts in various IAFL jurisdictions:  James Stewart (the British Isles), Alain Cornec (France and the European non-Trust jurisdictions), Paul Doolan (Australia and New Zealand), Thelma Kwan (Asia), and Mark Harper (anchoring for the Rest of the World, including USA). There was comment from two Fellows from jurisdictions well-known for their Trusts: Barbara Corbett from Jersey and David McGrath from The Cayman Islands.
