Farzana Parveen - Pakistani woman stoned to death for marrying the man she loves.
At the International Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers (IAML) conference in New York City, President Cheryl Lynn Hepfer stated:
"We, as a global organization of Family Lawyers that upholds family and human rights, express our shock and concern at this appalling crime, where a woman was killed by her own family. This "honor killing" is even more heinous because it took place in a country where the rule of law is held in such high regard."
