Profile

Clare is a partner at Irwin Mitchell, one of the largest family law teams in the country.  She leads the Birmingham office and is head of the International Family Law team working throughout the Midlands and in London.  She has over 30 years’ experience in family law, is a member of Reunite International (the leading child abduction charity), Resolution and is collaboratively trained.  She also has a busy litigation practice which includes reported cases in the High Court and Court of Appeal.  She is highly recommended in the legal directories with the Legal500 2022 saying "Clare Wiseman leads the team with grace and calm and with an underlying inner of steel.  Clients know that they are in the safest and strongest of hands."  Clare’s international work includes all aspects of family law, jurisdiction issues, finance, children and cross-border work.  She has teams supporting her dealing with international tax and immigration.
