Profile

Carrie is a Partner and Co-Head of the Family and Divorce at Harry Elias Partnership LLP.  She has over 20 years of experience in this area and has represented high net worth families and individuals in a wide range of matrimonial and family law related disputes including complex custody and cross border transnational matters, contentious divorces, division of assets, the relocation and/or abduction of children, maintenance and family violence/protection orders, as lead counsel at all levels of the Singapore Family Court. Carrie is also proficient in Syariah Court matters involving Muslim divorces.  

Carrie has been listed in the Doyle’s Guide for Leading Family & Divorce lawyers in Singapore for seven consecutive years from 2017 to 2023 and is identified as a Leading lawyer in the same guide in 2021, 2022 and 2023.  She is also the author of the chapters ‘The Law Relating to Children’ and ‘The Abduction of Children’ in the 2022 edition of ‘Law and Practice of Family Law in Singapore’, a publication by Sweet & Maxwell. 

Carrie is a member of the Law Society of Singapore’s Family Law Practice Committee, was also an Organizing Committee member for the Family Conference 2021 and the Master of Ceremonies for the Family Law Conferences in 2022 and 2023. 

Carrie has been invited by various organisations to give talks on family matters, including the Singapore Council of Women’s Organisations, has also been quoted in national newspapers and magazines and has been featured on national radio shows. She is also a volunteer at the Family Justice Court’s Pro Bono Clinic and the Singapore Association of Women’s Lawyers’ Pro Bono Clinic.
