Summer Course on European Family Law

IAFL Fellows and Family Lawyers from around the world may be interested the summer course on European Family Law held by ERA - the Academy of European Law. It will take place in Trier, Germany, from Monday 27th June to Friday 1st July 2022 and will be delivered in English.
The aim of this face-to-face summer course is to introduce (family) lawyers to practical aspects of European and international family law.
This course will focus on the most relevant topics in family litigation, namely:
- Cross-border divorce
- Parent-child relationships including parental child abduction
- Cross-border maintenance obligations towards children
- Property regimes of international couples
- Family law and human rights
This course will provide you with hands-on experience on cross-border family cases and the recent jurisprudence of the Court of Justice of the European Union (CJEU) and the European Court of Human Rights (ECtHR).
